A photo spot where you can see planes taking off and landing at Narita Airport up close. You can also enjoy the beautiful cherry blossom scenery, especially during the week from the end of March to early April.

It’s a photo spot that attracts aerial photographers, and by using apps and web services like “Flightradar24: Live Flight Tracker”, you can time the best time to take a photo.

Sora no Eki Sakurakan, a souvenir shop located in the park, sells local vegetables and rice, as well as souvenirs related to the airport and Narita, and has a restaurant where you can have a light meal.

Access

Here is how to get to Sakura-no-yama Park from Narita Airport and Narita Station. You can get there by taxi or bus, but the bus service is infrequent, so it may be a good idea to take a taxi. However, during cherry blossom season, traffic jams will occur due to crowding, so it is safer to take the bus.

Directions from Narita Airport

You can get to Sakura-no-yama Park from Narita Airport by taxi. It costs about 2,000 yen (4.2km / 11 minutes) by taxi from either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.

Direct buses to Sakura-no-yama Park depart from bus stop No.2 on the first floor of Narita Airport Terminal 2. The ride takes 15 minutes and costs 210 yen for adults and 110 yen for children under 12. You can pay with a transportation IC card or cash when you get off.

Bus schedule on weekdays – 9:20, 9:41, 11:35, 12:55, 14:25, and 15:50.
On weekends and holidays – 8:30, 9:20, 10:25, 11:30, 13:30, 14:25, 15:45, 16:00, and 17:25.

The buses returning to the airport from Sakura-no-yama Park depart on weekdays – 12:35, 14:15, 15:05, and 17:05.
On weekends and holidays – Direct bus can go back to Airport in 10 min, at 6:45 and 15:20. Stopping bus can go back to Airport in 35 min, at 8:45, 9:50, 10:55, 12:55, 13:50, 15:25, and 16:50.

If you are planning to visit other places, you can purchase a one-day pass “Soramaru Kippu” from the bus driver. This ticket allows you to ride the Narita Airport Transportation Bus Nanbu Museum Line, Sakura-no-yama Park Line, and Soramaru Line freely. This applies to buses departing from Narita Airport Terminal 2 after 9:20 on weekdays, and after 8:30 on weekends and holidays.

Directions from JR Narita Station and Keisei Narita Station

JR Narita Station and Keisei Narita Station are in almost the same place.

You can take a taxi from Narita Station for about 2,700 yen (5.7km / 10 minutes).

You can get to Sakura-no-yama Park by Narita Community Bus Tsubuura Route. Please take the bus at the Narita Community Bus stop No.4 of the Keisei Narita Station East Exit Bus Terminal, located next to a taxi stand.

There are two stations – JR Narita station and Keisei Narita station. Please see the google map and make it sure.

Buses depart from here at 8:49, 11:44, and 14:23. The ride takes about 10 minutes. The fare is a flat rate of 200 yen for adults and 100 yen for children under 12. You can pay with a transportation IC card or cash when you board the bus.

Buses returning to Narita Station from Sakura-no-yama Park leave at 7:55, 10:25, 13:01, and 17:04.

The Narita Community Bus has multiple routes. The route to Sakura-no-yama Park is the Tsubuura route. It is a good idea to check with the bus driver whether the bus is going to Sakura-no-yama Park before getting on from Narita station.

The Narita Community Bus does not offer one-day passes.
